We join with our Brothers of the Southern Cross, and with all peace-loving Australians, in shock and sorrow at the tragic events at Bondi Beach.

As we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent, a season of hope and expectation so close to Christmas, our hearts are heavy for the lives lost and for all those affected by this senseless tragedy.

We offer our prayers for the souls of the departed, for the injured, and for their grieving families and loved ones.

May the Lord of peace grant them eternal rest, comfort those who mourn, and strengthen all who continue to serve and protect our communities.

🕯️ “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.” (Isaiah 9:2)

May Christ, the Prince of Peace, shine His light into this darkness and draw us all closer to one another in compassion, faith, and hope.

🙏 Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
